Description

Production Manager. The Production Manager will lead and manage the production of high-quality vehicles to strict timelines that meet our customer expectations and deadlines and in accordance with the company’s values and objectives. The successful applicant will be accountable for the achievement of weekly - monthly and annual targets of vehicle production management, quality and other key performance targets. They will report to the Managing Director. Production Manager Responsibilities: The Production Manager owns the production schedule for Manufacturing and undertakes robust daily, weekly and monthly planning and coordination to ensure that all production runs smoothly to achieve production KPI’s and ultimately deliver on time and in full to internal and external customer deadlines. Manage the annual operating plan for Production. Liaise with the management team to formulate objectives, understand requirements and ensure continuity of parts supply to meet production targets. Monitor production to resolve issues and organise workflow to meet specifications and deadlines using Lean principals and methodologies. Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel. Ensure a safe working environment with regards to Health and Safety standards. Ensure production output is in line with Company quality standards. Person Specification: Experience in SME Manufacturing, or related industry, with knowledge of Production ERP systems, operations and standards required. At least 5 years’ experience in a production management role. Strong evidence of delivering results in a fast-paced operational setting and successful continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in managing and leading a team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holiday allowances, recruitment, training, development, attendance, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximise efficient productivity.
