Finance Manager – Athlone. My Client a global medical device business is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team on a 9-month fixed term contract with a view to extension/ permanency. The successful candidate will have at least five years practical experience in a multinational organisation. The role will provide support to the Director of Global Operations FP&A. All reporting will be on an accurate, timely and concise basis and the individual will liaise with internal/external parties, provide financial and business analysis to the Senior Leadership team and work with the Corporate Finance team to meet agreed objectives. Job Responsibilities: Ensure the complete and timely delivery of the Global Operations Month End; Support the drive of the AOP & Forecasting process across Global Ops Finance. Develop and deliver clear commentary on financials to key customers including Ops Senior Leadership, Corporate Finance and Audit. Manage the flow of Operations Financials through multiple reporting platforms including SAP and Hyperion Financial Management. Operate as the owner of Ops Financials in the Planning, Budgeting & Control System (PBCS) platform. Seek opportunities to further standardise the collection and reporting processes across multiple Manufacturing, Distribution & Administrative reporting entities. Tracking, Monitoring & Reporting of key KPI’s including through scorecard development & ownership. Assume a coaching mindset on management accounting fundamentals ensuring consistency of application across all Operations reporting entities. Facilitate deep dive reviews of key areas of administrative spend including but not limited to Travel costs. Job Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounting & Financial Analysis; Manufacturing Background preferred, experience working in a multi-plant, Global Operations environment is a plus. Experience of and ability to work with complex databases (Tableau, PBCS. Strong Knowledge of Cost/Management Accounting. Demonstrated ability in Financial Accounting and working to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Standards. Hyperion Financial Management experience essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly proactive attitude to review and improve internal processes. Flexible attitude and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of the organisation. Highly organised with an ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines whilst managing the flow of inputs from numerous sources. Travel will be minimal but may be required.
