Supply Chain Manager - Westmeath - Permanent opportunity. Reporting to the Company Director you will play an important part in helping the organistaion stay as leader in supply chain services. You will be responsible for co-ordinating supply chain, logistics 3PL’s and freight partners for their products to ensure patient supply and business objectives are met, in compliance with applicable GxP and other regulations. Role Overview: Ensure product availability from manufacturing/distribution partners to meet the business needs. Manage and partner with suppliers to develop business relationships that deliver effective operational control to agreed service levels. Manages and negotiates contractual terms as necessary with suppliers to assure long term stability of supply and cost effectiveness. Plan, support and implement projects with suppliers and key internal partner organisations to drive effective supply, cost control and timeline compliance. Provide a high level of service to the manufacturing team, which includes scheduling of all jobs and ensuring that stock on hand is in line with KPI’s. Liaise with suppliers to ensure stability of the supply chain, develop and implement risk management processes to ensure no risk of supply. Responsible for negotiating and establishing contractual terms for assigned partners. Manage supplier pricing reviews and cost reduction projects to drive cost efficiencies. Works with suppliers to reduce lead times and increase overall supply chain agility. Engage and develop continuous supply chain improvement practices. Conducts supplier landscaping activities, develops selection criteria to support new supplier identification and evaluation. Establishes supplier benchmarking processes and contributes to business reviews. Engages with key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of business projects. Manage all Purchasing, Warehousing, Planning, Logistics and Customer Service staff. Required Skills/Experience. Previous management of annualised standard cost settings, pricing, and cost out programs. High understanding of Compliance requirements and Regulatory expectations. Working knowledge of Quality Systems within a regulated environment. Competent user of MS Office tools [Access, Excel, Project, Word, Powerpoint] Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Strong leadership, decision-making & problem solving skills. Supply Chain Management: 3 years (Required. Diploma/degree in business management, engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline or equivalent is an advantage. Competencies: Strong understanding of, and experience in supply chain management, storage and distribution. Administration and project management skills. High level of customer orientation/understanding. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to influence internal and external constituents. Interpersonal and communication skills.
