Description

Responsibilities: Monthly Financials. Preparation and entering of accruals and journals to the nominal ledger. Present monthly overhead expenditure levels, comparing to budget/forecast and highlighting any variance and required actions. Complete Balance sheet reconciliations of relevant accounts. Ensure accurate and timely submission of accounts to Hyperion. Month end close and ensuring deliverables completed within 2 day month end close cycle. Submission of variance schedules to corporate Finance. Compliance. Ensure all financials are in compliance with US & Irish GAAP. Revenue compliance – responsible for VAT, VIES, Intrastats, etc – Return and compliance. Define and implement internal controls in order to maintain compliance with financial requirements and SOX. Deal with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance of audits and statutory requirements. General business task. Supplier payments and on-site treasury contact. Active member of Business unit (BU) – Finance lead for any issues within chosen manufacturing area. Input into annual budget and quarterly forecast, detailing volumes, headcount, overhead etc. for BU. Update budget/forecast to Financial database. R&D grant claims. Other. Dealing with queries from staff at all levels. Identify and drive process/system improvements. Miscellaneous projects as required. Supplier payments and on-site treasury contact. Will abide to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Policies and any relevant other EHS documentation. Will comply with all relevant training required and adhere to relevant associated documentation. Follow strict adherence to the requirements of cGMP. Actively contribute to the enhancement of compliance initiatives for areas of responsibility. Requirements: Qualified accountant with proven technical ability and computer literacy. 5 years + experience in financial accounting in a manufacturing background. Ability to take ownership, be proactive and achieve desired results is key. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Self starter with ability to work on own initiative & work to tight deadlines. Strong process performance skills. Working experience of computerized accounts package (Oracle. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in MS office applications.
