The position is responsible for reporting duties related to the Spanish entity and other entities as required. Responsibilities: •Preparation of US GAAP accounts and month end close for Spain. •Ensure the presentation to corporate of financial and tax data on a timely and accurate basis. This will include supporting the preparation of forecasts and annual plans. •Preparation of detailed Cost Centre analysis for Spain which is agreed to Management Accounts. •Interaction with the Transaction Processing group for Spain. •Ensure the integrity and SOX compliance of financial, administrative and legal controls in accordance with corporate policy and procedures for Spain. •The preparation and issuance of statutory financial statements. •Liaise with local auditors to ensure accounts are filed on time and accurately. •Ensure the Spanish entity is fully compliant with all relevant local law, accounting standards and filing requirements. •Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirements for Spain. Requirements: •Qualified /Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA. •Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage. •Previous Experience in a Shared Service Centre. •SAP user level experience. •Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality. •Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. •Strong attention to detail with good time management skills. •The ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
