What you need to know: You will work as an Analytical Chemist for our client, in a highly skilled GMP laboratory environment based in Galway. This is a permanent job offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits. Your new job: With direct involvement in raw material and the finished product test, support and release, you will work effectively across cross-functional teams. You will have the responsibility of the management of up to ten analysts performing Assay and Elution testing of drug and medical devices. As a proactive team player, you will drive accountability and problem-solving efforts to resolve quality issues. Key duties & responsibilities: An excellent understanding of analytical separation technologies such as LC and GC. Capable of leading root cause investigations and failure mode analysis. Provide technical support for chemistry methodology, OOS and OOT investigations. You will be reporting directly to the Laboratory Supervisor and be responsible for providing training and support for new analysts coming into the laboratory. Participate in audits and responsible for the creation/maintenance of documents. Take the lead in projects both within and outside of the Laboratory and ensuring that team objectives are met. What are we looking for? Level 8 in Analytical Chemistry or a related discipline. 5+ years relevant work experience in a GMP/GLP environment. Experience of people management.
