What you need to know. You will work as a Chemical Engineering Team Lead for our client, a highly successful and ambitious manufacturing company in Westmeath . As the Chemical Engineering Team Lead you will oversee our production operations. You will guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organising workflows. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner. This is a permanent job. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees and also to ensure you meet the required KPI’s. Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance whilst following policy and procedure. Promote health and safety practices ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to. Liaise with other departments i.e. Engineering/Quality etc whilst contributing to daily/weekly meetings. Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards. Ensure 5C standards are maintained. Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, developing/reporting procedures and systems. Creates and revises systems and procedures by analysing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control and implementing change. What are we looking for? 3rd Level Degree in Chemical Engineering/Production or related discipline. Must have at least 3 + years’ experience as a Chemical Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Excellent interpersonal and people management skills. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet required deadlines in a timely fashion.
