This innovator Medical Devices organisation is an American speciality organisation, employing circa 12,000 employees globally and supplying medical devices for a range of procedures and surgeries in the following areas: Urology Care, Interventional Urology, Cardiac Care, Respiratory, Vascular Access, Surgical, Anaesthesia and OEM. Headquartered in the U.S, this industry leader has a global presence operating in approximately 40 countries around the world, basing their EMEA HQ here in Ireland with a recent move to a new EMEA HQ as of 2016 due to increased headcount at the organisations Irish operations. A new requirement has arisen as of late in the organisation for a Vice President of Global Quality & Regulatory Affairs to join and lead this organisations QA/RA operations globally. The Position: The VP, Global QA & RA is responsible for aligning the Quality and Regulatory priorities of this businesses facilities and regions with its business needs. The person is responsible to ensure that the function serves the businesses needs in terms of obtaining and retaining licenses, registrations and regulatory compliance, ensuring product quality and compliance. Responsibilities include ensuring the company's Quality System is in compliance with the regulatory requirements for the organisation and alignment of Corporate Quality Objectives with Regulatory and business needs. The Person: Minimum education Bachelor's degree in a technical field. Minimum 18 years experience in the medical device industry, with at least eight years in a senior management position in a quality and/or regulatory function. International site management experience and experience of working in a corporation. Experience in leading sites through audits with FDA, Notified Bodies and other international regulatory agencies. Strong knowledge of appropriate State, Federal and International regulations impacting the companys' geographic and product footprint.
