Our CLient is looking for a Control tower Specialist for an 8-Months Contract.The main purpose of the EMEA Transportation Control Tower Specialist is to coordinate the physical and financial flows of the shipments within the Supply Chain Network andthe respective nominated carriers. This role is an 8-Month Contract role based in Athlone. Key Responsibilities. Organize the collection and delivery of Air, Ocean ,Road and Parcel shipments within the companies preferred Carrier pool. Agree spot prices for shipments. Confirming the shipment order to the respective carrier. Sending collection alerts to shippers. Follow up Vessel/Plane/truck collections and arrivals. Provide customs clearance instructions if necessary and delivery references. Planning delivery schedule’s with carrier and consignee. Follow up of arrival and customs clearance process. Maintaining details and prices of shipments in the Supply Chain System. Scan and save all related shipping documents. Auditing freight invoices, with related VAT and import duties. Follow Up action with carrier if invoices are not correct. Essential Experience. Experienced (min 2 years) in Logistics or International Transportation. Experience in finance/accounting. Good knowledge of the required documentation for international transport and customs. Knowledge of dangerous goods procedures. Attention to detail and numeracy. Good organisational and communication skills. Experience in working with SAP. Able to work with Microsoft office applications.
